Pipeline Profits Video 4 - Notes

I am a obsessive note taker so I decided to publish my notes that I've been taken on the Pipeline Profits Videos. These guys are spilling some insider stuff and they "really" shaking up the guru's a bit.

Here are my notes from their recently uploaded Video #4

Quizzing Your Coregistration Broker

Can the leads be delivered in real time?

This question is important because you want to deliver your autoresponder message while the lead is still in their "hyper-responsive mode" Waiting for the publisher to send you batched leads - once a week - can lower your conversion rates.

Can I Use Your Publisher's Autoresponder?

Two important reasons for asking this question:

#1 - Most of the popular autoresponders will not allow you to send coregistration leads to your autoresponder. I lost a very good list by not paying attention to this. So you save time and money by using the publishers autoresponder.

#2 The publisher has already done the legwork on making sure that their subscribers have "whitelisted" their address. This can save you from having to send out a "tempo stealing" verification/whitelisting email

Are the opt-ins incentivised in any way?

Critical question to ask to make sure that you are getting a truly interested lead. Many sites offer free ipods, frequent flier points, calling cards, etc. to motivate the person to sign-up. These folks are not not real leads they can kill your conversion rates.

Are the Opt-in Boxes Prechecked?

Prechecked opt-in boxes lead to junk leads and unsubscribe rates. You don't want your subscribers on your list because they didn't want to take the time to uncheck the opt-in box.

Do they Offer the right demographics

This is pretty self-explanatory. Make sure that the demographics of the site matches your product's target. For example, you don't want to try to sell a colon-cleansing product to a teenage demographic.

Make sure You Are Getting Signups from Countries that can use your offer.

If you are an international business go ahead and get international subscribers. However, if your product is only available in the US, ask your broker to make sure that your offer is only advertised to a US list.

Types of Coregistration Records
- Full Record = Name, Address, Phone(Rarely does this)
- Partial Record = Full Record minus the phone number
- Minimum - First Name and Email Address

General Tips
- Spread out delivery (don't get 10,000 in one day!)
- I don't know where you are getting them from but mail to source 1, and source 2 and source 3. Improves conversion rates
- Track every source
- Be careful of the "rollout"

How many sites are in the network?

Probe to see if other's have been successful marketing to the network

Tracking
